Perhaps the most not-talked-about topic in the Bible is hell. It can feel uncomfortable if not avoided altogether. Many simply dispose of it outright, excusing it as a misunderstood doctrine. It can feel “unjust” that a just God would consider sending anyone to hell. But our starting point cannot be our feelings or opinions. It must be what God says – His truth on the matter. In view of what Scripture clearly teaches on the topic, to what degree should it motivate us to compel others to follow Jesus?
