The world loves watered-down “Christianity.” What it hates is when Christians choose to live Christ’s claims radically. Jeroboam offered his newly claimed kingdom a pagan cult draped in a veneer of Judaism. To say it was “watered down” would be putting it mildly… but the people loved it. How then do we live this one life radically, avoiding the pitfalls of compromise and syncretization? As you strive toward this, just beware, the world will hate you for it!
