Today we look closely at the passage from Isaiah that John quotes to explain why many chose not to believe in Jesus. Isaiah beholds the glory of Jesus the king in a vision and is commissioned to the difficult task of calling a blind, hardened people to repentance. But there is purpose in this hardening that ironically for many eventually results in their salvation. Let’s take our cue and some comfort from Isaiah to know best how to reach our blind and hardened generation with the gospel.
