Sin is not something that simply complicates our relationship with God; it severs it! It produces in us a deadness and constant dissatisfaction in our soul that is unavoidable. Self-help books will always fall short of showing us the way. Isaiah tells us what God would need to do (700 years in advance) in order to mend this disconnection, and challenges us in what we must do to reconnect. Today, let God truly mend what is broken in you!
