Though cravings can sometimes be very strange, one thing is for sure, we all have them. Unfortunately, our longings can be for the wrong things. The prophet Jeremiah prophesied during the reign of King Josiah, including his reform, and had a lot to say about Judah’s constant craving for love and enjoyment in life apart from God. The prophet’s words ring true even for Jesus’ church today and challenge us to reconsider what truly satisfies us.
