As young little leaguers take the field, it is inevitable that one of them gets distracted and begins to pick the flowers, even when the baseball is hit in their direction. As followers of Jesus, we too can get just as easily distracted, wander around in left field, and have our affections stolen. This is what happened to Israel, and the prophet Hosea shared a strong word of challenge with them from their Husband’s heart.
